Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an OBL or can I use a Sea Waybill?
If the consignee does not need to transfer ownership during transit (e.g., payment is made before shipment), a Sea Waybill eliminates OBL fees and courier costs.
Can OBL be issued in multiple originals?
Yes, typically 3 original B/Ls are issued. All originals are 'original' and the cargo is released against the first presented original. Surrendering one original releases all.
