Frequently Asked Questions

Is AMS the same as ISF?
No. AMS is the carrier's manifest filing to CBP. ISF is the importer's separate security filing. Both are required for US-bound cargo.
How does AMS relate to SCAC codes?
SCAC codes are used to identify carriers and NVOCCs in the AMS system. Every NVOCC needs a SCAC code to file AMS.
